The Present and Future Devastation Consequence of Abortion Genocide

Since the fatal and flawed 1973 Supreme Court decision of Roe V. Wade it has clearly been medically and scientifically established (with advances in fetology) that the pre-born are, indeed, individual living human beings. The environmental difference between the fetus baby in the womb and the baby outside the mother’s womb is the uterine environment of water, versus the outside world of air and space.

Former Abortionist Bernard Nathanson Exposes Lies of American Pro-Abortion Movement -- "We were guilty of massive deception" says Nathanson about abortion industry -- Nathanson's conversion to the pro-life movement was sparked by the advent of the ultrasound machine in the early 1970s. He related how his heart was moved to realize that a fetus is in fact a human being after he watched an unborn baby recoil from a vacuum abortion device before being sucked from its mother's womb……. Nathanson then addressed the fact that abortion is now used as a form of birth control - a result of another pro-abortion fabrication….. - lifesitenews.com

World culture from its beginning has always regarded the pre-born to be special life:

The Hebrew Scriptures mirror what has been commonly accepted by world cultures since the beginning. When a pregnant woman’s child was either injured or killed, there was a just penalty to be observed. [Exodus 21:22-25] The forming and growing baby within the mother’s womb has not only been accepted as human life and offspring, but fully worthy of being brought to its completion with the birthing process. Psalm 139:13-16 ; Luke 1:41 ; Luke 1:44

Genocide:

“Genocide” is usually thought of in terms of (massive) population massacres, such as what sadly and pathetically took place with Hitler’s Germany and the many Jewish holocaust concentration camps. There have been a considerable number of more “modern” day genocides – among them, the Darfur region of Sudan and also, the Rwandan human carnage. War has been the sad occasion to hasten and rationalize the human slaughter of innocent human beings who have ("inconveniently") stood in the way of warring factions.

Abortion is the Genocide of the Pre-born [one by one]:

Since the infamous Roe V. Wade 1973 Supreme Court decision, it has been estimated that approximately 50 million + babies have been slaughtered in the United States.

“One Quarter of Black Population Missing from Abortion Genocide Says Dr. Alveda King” -- …. Dr. Alveda King, the niece of legendary human rights campaigner, Rev. Martin Luther King Jr., told a meeting of Priests for Life, that the killing of a quarter of the black population of the US has not been from the lynch mobs of her childhood days, but from abortionists, “who plant their killing centers in minority neighborhoods and prey upon women who think they have no hope. “The great irony,” she said, “is that abortion has done what the Klan only dreamed of.” …..” - lifesitenews.com

Abortion is also the Genocide of future generations:

“What Does God See and Hear?” – “…….Millions of babies are aborted every day. It is this culture's way of eradicating the image of the Triune God in which the human race was created. Genesis 1:26 Doctors, nurses, and professionals may refer to a newly formed baby as blastocyst, an embryo or a fetus, but the bottom line is the little one is a triune human being with a body, a soul, and a spirit. The pre-born baby allowed to reach adulthood has the potential to bring forth more generations. Psalm 102:18 When an apple is cut open the seeds are able to be counted. But, only God can tell how many apples are in one seed. God knows the generations which should have been produced by every aborted baby. They are all written in His book. Psalm 139:16 …….” - [Source: “Heart, Soul, Mind and Strength," - 5/15/09] mycalvaryslove.com/

The Triune God is a God of Mercy and Forgiveness:

Since this emeritus Christian pastor has run short of time today, he cannot and does not wish (in this topical message) to elaborate upon the grace of God. Other past topical messages have noted such. Suffice to say that the wanton and needless action of securing an abortion, the cutting short the full and complete life of a human being, is, simply murder. When the good Lord says in the Ten Commandments, “Thou shall not murder,” the sin of determined, wanton and needless abortion is not exempt from that command. Exodus 20:13

“Sin” in a holy and just God’s estimation, excludes the soul from the life hereafter in heaven’s perfect abode. Those who die in their sins without having the forgiveness of the shed blood of Christ are destined to spend their (forever) soul’s existence, not in heaven’s “life eternal” but in hell's “death eternal.” Luke 16:19-31 ; John 3:14-21 and, John 3:36

May all who desire to live a life of good conscience and a life pleasing to God apart from their sinful nature and their daily sins, seek Him by way of the written revelation He has provided. [2 Timothy 3:14-17] May you come to know the living God and Christ who can set you free from the sin bondage and make your soul ready for a future eternity of “life” everlasting, rather than “death” everlasting. Matthew 7:13-29 ; John 1:1-18 ; John 10:1-30 ; Luke 16:19-31

Amen.

Baby’s First Picture -- ......The science called “fetology”, the study of children in the womb, clearly confirms the facts. Through the sonogram, we are given a window into the first home of children. And, we are reminded, that every one of us lived in that same home. It was once the safest place on earth and universally recognized as a sanctuary. It was also held in great awe and respect. Children in the womb were protected and mothers were given the special treatment that they deserved. The insane fabrication of the abortion movement, that the child is an extension of the woman’s own body, has met more than its rhetorical match. It has run headfirst into medical science. For example, research has proven that the child secretes hormone mixtures, found in the placenta, in order to protect its position in the first home and to secure itself within the womb against the immune system of the mother which is made to fight against “foreign” substances. The child is no “foreign substance” but rather a member of the family......

Why Divine Revelation (Scripture) condemns homosexuality. Why homosexual activists become so upset when their lifestyle is called into question

Gay activists aren't satisfied with only being
sexually intimate with the members of their
gender. They set themselves upon an agenda
path to molest traditional marriage, thereby
diluting it to include something that was
never intended.
This Christian and emeritus Christian pastor is no stranger to online forums and to providing his comments, following news reports. A couple of weeks ago there was an mlive.com news report about an (obvious) homosexual activist. The news piece went on to highlight this man’s near future conference speaking engagement.

The young man of whom the news piece related, was scheduled to speak about the recent Kalamazoo anti-discrimination ordinance last year and “his spiritual journey.” He was highlighted to be the keynote speaker for “Out of the Closet, Into the Light.” The gathering, according mlive.com, was designed to be a “conference on ‘sexuality, inclusion and spirituality.’” The event was planned by “the OutCenter, of Benton Harbor, which provides support and advocacy for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and allied persons in Berrien County.”

The news report further stated that this conference on “sexuality, inclusion and spirituality” was to be held at Brookview School in Benton Harbor, Michigan. Conference workshops were to include:

……topics such as “What Does the Bible Really Say About Homosexuality?” “Relationships With Religious Family and Friends,” “Moving Your Church to Be Welcoming” and “Exploring Your Spiritual Path.”

http://www.mlive.com/living/kalamazoo/index.ssf/2010/04/anti-discrimination_advocate_j.html

I might glibly add that we can only hope that this school is wholly private and not publicly funded by the taxpayers – else this group and this speaker would have been guilty for violating the mythical “separation church and state” [fallacious] principle (myth) as he would be talking about “spirituality” and referencing the Bible, in a public school setting.

Homosexual activists will pick and choose certain Scriptures, to justify their homosexual lifestyle:

If there is one Scripture that is familiar with
non-Christians, it is Matthew 7:1.
Unbelievers and even some Christians often
molest Scripture to fit their sinful lifestyles.
Their myopic view prevents them from
viewing Scripture with a balanced
perspective, which interprets the Bible
by comparing Scripture with Scripture.
They also fail to understand, paradox.

It is common for homosexual activists to quote and abuse a most often misused Scripture – that being, Christ’s own words of “Judge not and you shall not be judged.” [Gospel of Matthew 7:1f] What these activists often (conveniently for their own selfish purposes) forget, and / or ignore, is that Scripture, in order to be correctly understood, must be read (and studied) in context of its totality and with sound hermeneutical [interpretive] principles.

People often will capriciously exploit this Matthew 7:1f Scripture against those with whom they disagree, failing to understand that the ”judging aspect” is forbidden when the person doing the judging, is being hypocritical. If I would be living a homosexual lifestyle and then criticizing homosexuals and gay activists' lifestyle (abnormal) "norms," then, this Scripture would apply to me. But, this web author is not hypocritically judging.

If I become upset with neighbors leaving their barking dogs outside for long and extended periods of time, while I do the same thing, then I would be guilty of judging my neighbors for also carelessly allowing my dog to disturb the same peacefulness of the neighborhood. But many people, who fail to understand Scripture in its proper context, are capriciously careless in slinging it around – and thoroughly miss the proper perspective of the Matthew 7:1-2, “Judge not.”

Briefly, what do the Hebrew / Christian Scriptures clearly say about homosexual acts and the homosexual lifestyle:

First of all, there is the Hebrew Scripture injunction against homosexual behavior: Genesis 18:20 ; Genesis 19:1-29 ; Leviticus 18: 22-30 ; Leviticus 20:13 ; Isaiah 3:9-11

Secondly, there is the Christian Scripture injunction against homosexual behavior – principally in the following passages: Romans 1:18-32 ; 1 Corinthians 6:9-11 ; 1 Timothy 1:8-11 ; 2 Peter 2:6 ; Jude 1:7

The self-professed divine revelation – [2 Timothy 3:14-17] makes it clear that homosexual activity is contrary to divine design. Creator, Triune God made the human body in such a manner that the human anus was meant, intended and designed for exit purposes only.

Please note: “Gay bowel syndrome:” -- conservapedia.com

The Bible says:"In the beginning God created the
heavens and the earth. Genesis 1:1. Also: "God
created man in His own image, in the image of God
created he him; male and female created he them."
Genesis 1:27-28. It also says that God commanded
them to "....be fruitful and multiply and replenish
the earth and subdue it....." Genesis 1:28. Creator
God never intended "same sex 'marriage.'"

The Scriptures make it clear that to live a homosexual lifestyle, is to deny the very Creator who designed and engineered the miracle of the human body, His special creation. Even Muslims, who do not worship the true and Triune God, abhor [in principle] the practice of homosexuality. They also abhor the needless, wanton practice of abortion on demand. Both practices are in direct disobedience to the Triune God’s “Cultural Mandate,” which states that the human race is to be “fruitful and multiply and replenish the earth and subdue it……” Genesis 1:28

Divine revelation, as written in the Christian New Testament of Romans 1:18-32, clearly implies that Creator God is egregiously offended when his human creation ignores His intents and becomes stubbornly resistent and ungrateful to His designs. That, according to the divine revelation is the beginning of perversion and finally ends with those [people] engaged, being disillusioned in their very minds. Romans 1:24-28 ; 2 Thessalonians 2:10-12

The descending (deviation) digression is, as follows:

People fail to honor God, as He intended to be honored. They become unthankful to God. Hence, they become “vain” in their thinking -- and, without understanding. As a direct consequence, their hearts become darkened to the truth of God. They then profess to be wise; but God says that they have become fools. These unthankful, vain, (without understanding fools) then (instead) falsely worship themselves and graven images. Romans 1:23-25

Why do homosexual activists become so upset when their lifestyle is called into question?

Sinful human nature is the basic problem which
afflicts homosexual activists and those who
persist in living a lifestyle contrary to the divine
revelation. Sinful human nature resists the
Creator as is reflected in one of Christ's parables,
"......we will not have this man reign over us...."

Luke 19:12-27

The Scripture speaks of a certain “delusion” which falls upon individuals as a result of their refusal to honor God as He intended to be honored. Romans 1:18-32 ; 2 Thessalonians 2:10-12

Note: See also, the one topical message: “Why are many people hard of spiritual hearing? Why will many human souls end up experiencing eternal damnation?"

It is fallen human nature to avoid, shun and eschew the truth. Millions upon millions of people today flee from reality. Facing the truth about one’s spiritual depravity and sinful condition is not natural. As the Scripture says, “.....the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they [the spiritual things of God] are spiritually discerned." 1 Corinthians 2:14

Unless the Lord breaks reality upon an unregenerate [unrepentant] person’s heart and soul, there can be no acceptance of Gospel truth. Psalm 80:3 ; V.7 ; V. 19 ; Lamentations 5:21 ; Acts 3:26 ; Phil. 2:13 ; James 1:16-18 ; John 1:11-13 ; John 3:3-6

Please note: Christian Faith -- How does a soul acquire it? -- What is the "New Birth," -- or, what is commonly called "Regeneration," or, the Christian "Conversion" process?

No one (naturally) likes to admit they are flagrantly wrong about their personal choices. And, when people are enjoying their sexual escapades – whatever they may be – those same people do not like to be told, that what they are doing and engaging in, is, against God’s moral law. [Exodus 20 ; Galatians 5:19-21 ; Heb.13:4 ; Rev. 21:8 ; Rev. 22:15] Human pride stands in the way of conforming to God’s commandments, believing in Christ, the Savior from one's sins -- and repenting of those sins.

What finally separates a homosexual – or, (for that matter) any other sinner from Triune God, holy almighty? What finally separates his soul from everlasting life in heaven to everlasting death, in hell?

The Christian Scriptures offer a list of lifestyle sins of which it states, will bar human souls from the “kingdom of God” (heaven). [Galatians 5:19-21] Such sins, habitually practiced by the sinner, “qualify” the soul, involved, for perdition (hell). Only by the grace and mercy of God [Ephesians 2:5-6] can a sinner be set free. And, history illustrates in every age, that sinners do, indeed, come to escape these lifestyle sins, which mire and solidify the soul in unbelief and delusion. 1 Corinthians 6:9-11

In the final analysis, a person is damned to hell because of his [or, her] unbelief. John 3:14-21 ; Mark 16:15-16 ; John 8:1f

Friend, if you are caught up in homosexual sin, you are “fallen far from the tree.” The very fact that you are engaging your God-created body in such a manner, illustrates that you are leading a lifestyle that will damn your very soul. [Galatians 5:19-21 ; 1 Corinthians 6:9-11] The Scriptures make that clear, no matter how you may like to twist them to your eternal destruction. [Hell]

Whatever sin or sins claim your present life, know that you are separated from a holy God and his heaven if you have, but sinned once – whatever transgression against His Commandments. [James 2:10] And, we know from the divine revelation that there is not a “just man upon earth who does good, and sins, not.” Eccl. 7:20 ; Isaiah 51:6

The Triune God cannot allow unforgiven sin in his presence. Consequently, you are only able to enter a hereafter heaven, totally on the merits of the grace of God, through faith, on account of the birth, life, suffering, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. [Ephesians 2:8-9 ; John 3:14-21 ; 1 Corinthians 15:1-4] He, alone, is the perfect sacrifice for all your sins against God and your fellow man. Only because of Him, will God absolve you of all your sins – whatever and how many, they may be. Hebrews 10:14 ; John 8:31-36

May the Triune God have mercy upon your soul - you who do not truly know him! May you seek the Lord in [His] the written revelation historical documents, called the Scriptures [Bible]! May you finally come to personal faith (belief) in Christ the Savior! May you avail yourself of God's Scripture Word to you! It is that Scripture conglomerate Word which is God's way to work faith in you, to believe! Search the Scriptures; read; mark; hear and learn from them; - because in those sacred inspired pages, God is able to grant you the faith to repent and believe. Matthew 3:2 ; Acts 2:38 ; Romans 1:16 ; Romans 10:17 ; 2 Timothy 3:14-17 ; Acts 8:26-39 ; Hebrews 4:12;13 ; Psalm 119:104;105 ; James 1:18 ; 1 Peter 1:23

Amen.

The Major Reasons that the Christian Message is Rejected and Regarded as Foolish

Unbelief
Mixed messages are very often the result of poor communication style. Even in the best of intentions and circumstances when both parties talk face to face, miscommunication occurs. “Sender” (talker) and “receiver” (hearer) can be conversing about the same subject. But if both parties do not have a basis and understanding regarding that subject, they will often end up with 2 different understandings.

For instance, if 2 people are talking about “God,” there will inevitably come out of their conversation / discussion, two separate understandings of the whole discussion. One may have an understanding of what a “god” or “God” consists of. The other may be thinking and speaking with the perspective in mind, that there are many gods, rather than one [Triune] God. Furthermore, the two, involved in the discussion, may possess their various definitions of God or various gods and how He or they form a significant role in the life of all people.

We live in a global culture where the latest news on one end of the globe can be broadcast within seconds. Modern communications, enhanced by space satellite technology make it possible for information to be readily accessed at a computer’s home keyboard. But, understanding data and information is something which takes time and understanding.

Comparatively few people come to a common understanding of the “Christian Message.” Communication is often stifled for a number of reasons.

The Christian Message Has Been Around for a Long Time – But (comparatively) Few People Understand It

First of all, what is the “Christian Message?” I prefer to think of the Christian Message as that message of what Jesus Christ communicated when He spent His ministry time, here on earth. After Christ’s perfect life, suffering, death and Resurrection, that “message” [of Christ] was codified in the completed Scriptural (revelation) record when the Christian New Testament was added to the of Hebrew [Old Testament] Scriptures.

Off the top of my head, this emeritus Christian pastor thinks of 3 Scriptures and 2 creeds that summarize the “Christian Message.” [These “segments,” of course, do not contain all the teachings and detail. But these 3 Scriptures and 2 Creeds spell out, how unique the Christian Message is, among all the world’s religions and various individual beliefs]:

The prophecy of the Messiah Christ – Isaiah 53:1-12

Christ’s words recorded in Matthew 7:13-29

St. Paul’s words (under the Holy Spirit’s inspiration) of 1 Corinthians 15:1-58

The Apostle’s Creed and the Nicene Creed

The Christian Message (Tersely) Explained

The Christian Message is very simple. It is about the sinless birth, life, suffering, death and Resurrection of the God-Man, Jesus Christ, who was God’s appointed Son / Messiah to be sacrificed for human sin – past, present and future. His holy blood was [is] the pure ingredient that could only wipe the [human] sinful slate clean before a just God who must punish sin to the fullest, because all people are sinners by both birth and practice. And, as a result of that sin, it brings physical death and eternal death to all people.

However, those who truly identify with the Savior, Christ, are those who have the favor of God resting upon them. They have believed in this Christ and the forgiveness which He brought and continues to bring. They then, are accepted by a just, holy and loving God, to be His children, both now and in the hereafter. God’s punishing wrath for them is averted [turned away]. They are thus, “clothed” with Christ’s holiness, [Phil. 3:7-13] as a result of having put their [God-given] faith in the sacrificial Lamb of God [Christ] who died for their sins, on their behalf, to ward off God’s impending just and eternal punishment upon their souls. John 3:14-21

The Ultimate Reason Why the Christian Message is Rejected and Regarded as Foolish

Scripture itself makes it clear why many people do not receive the Christian Message:

"Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place. For we are to God the fragrance of Christ among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing. To the one we are the aroma of death leading to death, and to the other the aroma of life leading to life. And who is sufficient for these things? For we are not, as so many, peddling the word of God; but as of sincerity, but as from God, we speak in the sight of God in Christ." 2 Corinthians 2:14-17

Christian witness is often (only) thought of, as a “positive” witness. But that’s not what God reveals in His Scriptural written revelation. Here, we have the Christian witness [proclamation by word and deed] rejected because it is insulting to those human souls, who, as the Scripture says, are, “perishing.” Damnation isn’t (only) something which takes place in the hereafter. It begins here on earth. It is a continued process of rejecting the Gospel [good] news of Jesus Christ, -- his sinless birth, life, suffering, death and Resurrection. It is the continual sinful practice of rejecting the forgiveness of sins, of which He came to offer as a free gift, accepted, by faith.

The Scripture states that the Christian Message is (by and large) rejected by Jewish people, because, to them, it is a “stumbling block.” [1 Corinthians 1:23 ; 1 Peter 2:7-8] The Jewish people, of whom the Triune God entrusted with the Old Testament Hebrew Scriptures, have a very difficult time believing in Jesus Christ. They cannot, for the spiritual and eternal life of them, accept Him as the One whom God Almighty sent, to be their Messiah –- their divine rescuer. They make the ultimate mistake of minimizing the historical Christ, to the spiritual detriment and damnation of their priceless souls [John 1:1-14] They are offended in and at Christ whose earthly life abruptly ceased, being, spiked to a Roman cross –- a death that was only reserved for the worst of humanity.

That (crude) “end of Christ,” spells to the Jew, a great offense. And, consequently, Jesus Christ cannot be their Savior [so, many of them think] –- as, they mistakenly have anticipated a Messiah on the basis of physical and material grounds. Sadly and pathetically, they reject the Old Testament (Hebrew) prophecy of Christ, [Isaiah 53:1-12] and its fulfillment, as wonderfully portrayed in the 4 New Testament Christian Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John.

Gentiles [non Jews] on the other hand, reject the Christ of the Hebrew and Christian Scriptures because to them it is, simply “foolishness.” The very same Gospel Message [Christian Message] that can work for the cleansing of their sins and make them right with their Creator God, -- that same Message and Person, they reject. Why? Because they close their minds off, only to listen to [sinful] human reason and thereby, discard divine revelation.

Scripture tells us that unbelief, damns. [Mark 16:16-17 ; John 8:23-24] It also relates that rejection of Christ is motivated by the sinner, content to continue in sin. John 3:17-21

Beneath the rejection of Christ, whether He, being regarded as offensive or, foolish, is the spiritual blindness, which the unbelieving soul possesses. Scripture again, explains:

"But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned." 1 Corinthians 2:14

Note: The “they” in this verse are the “[spiritual] blessings of God,” which, of course include forgiveness of sins and a right standing with God, both now, and in eternity.

Friend, it is only by the grace of God that you can attain an understanding of Him. It is only by being spiritually awakened, that you can understand the Triune God’s Communication to you. Once you are awakened, then you can truly be on the receiving, communication, end. Until the good and gracious Lord breaks upon the spiritual blindness of your soul – until He does, you will be confused with all this world’s mixed messages.

The Christian Message will only be understood and comprehended by you, and acted upon, when God the Holy Spirit makes His communication plain to you. Acting upon your own reasoning, you will miss out. Offended at the Christian Message, -- you will also, miss out. And, eventually, you will miss out on any of God’s goodness and forgiveness to you, in a Christless [Godless] eternity in hell, itself.

May God have mercy on your soul. May you avail yourself to read and hear of His great love for your soul. May you with non bias expose yourself to the Hebrew and Christian Scriptures, where the Christian Faith can begin, and then, grow. [Romans 10:17] Then, and only then, will the Christian Message make any kind of communication sense to you. Amen.

The gracious and sovereign disposition of Creator God, rewarding whom He pleases

When I was a child, as the Scriptures say, “I thought like a child.” When hearing and / or reading Christ’s Parable of the “Laborers in the Vineyard,” [Matthew 20:1-16] I had the mistaken idea that the prime emphasis of this parable was, that souls could repent and come into God’s Kingdom [Heaven] at the last minute of their lives and that it did not make any difference to the Good Lord, whether they had been a believing Christian all their lives. What mattered most was that they were able to “squeak into heaven’s gate” and nevertheless be equally welcomed by Father, God.

As I have grown older, I have come to realize that this parable of Christ is not, as it may seem. Its message significance, (thrust), is not about sinners, [for instance, about to crash on a jumbo jet only to have less than 30 seconds to make their peace with God]. When I was younger, I was of the mistaken impression that the awareness of one's imminent, certain death, would so motivate a sinner, so that within their last breathful moments, they would be most apt and finally motivated to recognize their sinful state, and believe the Gospel. John 3:14-21

Upon hearing a description of the late Dr. James D. Kennedy, about the massive Canary Islands airliner crash, I gave up on that ignorant belief. The plane’s black box recorder revealed that many passengers, upon impact, wailed in cursing and despair. Far from making their peace with God, most of these passengers entered an eternity after-life, in the same way they had lived their unbelieving existence.

Associated Press -- "History's worst aviation accident turned on twists of fate: – 3/27/02:

…….The collision, was described in an Associated Press dispatch from March 30, 1977 as "a hellstorm of fire and death." It killed all 248 people on the Dutch plane and 335 on the Pan Am flight, putting the number 583 into the world's almanacs and Guinness compilations under "world's worst." ….. [Associated Press -- History's worst aviation accident turned on twists of fate – 3/27/02]

The Main Character in the Parable is the Owner of the Vineyard:

The Parable of the "Workers in the Vineyard" opens with Christ stating:

“For the kingdom of heaven is like a landowner who went out early in the morning to hire laborers for his vineyard…..” Matthew 20:1f

The Parable ends with the words of the Vineyard Owner:

But he answered one of them and said, ‘Friend, I am doing you no wrong. Did you not agree with me for a denarius? Take what is yours and go your way. I wish to give to this last man the same as to you. Is it not lawful for me to do what I wish with my own things? Or is your eye evil because I am good?’ So the last will be first, and the first last. For many are called, but few chosen.” Matthew 20:13-16

I believe that most Biblical scholars would agree that the meaning behind the “Owner” is that of the heavenly Father [God]. God seeks of His own, [God's people] to do His work. And when that work is completed, He rewards His laborers, accordingly. I say, “accordingly,” – in respect to His gracious and sovereign will.

Other characters in the Parable: The workers:

Regarding the workers in the vineyard who had labored all day, [Matthew 20:8-12] when one of them stood in line behind a worker who had labored less, there was the expectation to be paid (proportionately) more since he had spent more time working in the vineyard. However, notice, again, the main character in this parable –- [Matthew 20:8-16] The owner instructed his servants to reward those who had been hired last. It was the Owner’s own personal gracious and sovereign call. And, it was his choosing to pay those workers who labored less -- to give them the same amount that the other workers agreed to work for, when they started out in the vineyard early in the morning.

The difference of attitude and motive of the workers in the vineyard:

Two types of character [workers] labored in the vineyard. First, those who had made a binding agreement to work for so much money. Secondly, there were those who heard the vineyard owner’s call for more labor, and joined in the work – not expecting much, but what would be the owner’s good will, to pay. It is assumed by some Biblical scholars that these workers could “represent” those Christians who live and work for the Lord with a pure motive and right spirit – whereas, those laborers who have been “along for the ride” from the “gitgo,” exhibit the "jealous brother syndrome" as personified in Christ’s parable of the “The Prodigal Son.” Luke 15:11-32

What shines through this parable is the difference of attitude and motive of the two types of vineyard workers. One type worked for “hire.” The other type, out of willing spirit, free from personal gain or earthly ambition.

Christ’s Parables were [and, are] meant to be earthly stories that teach spiritual [and, often, heavenly] meanings:

One of Christ’s best know parables is "The Pharisee and the Tax Collector." Suffice to say, those of you who wish to draw near to God and those of you who wish to be counted in heaven’s glory – you must come by way of Creator God, and His Christ. John 3:14-21 ; Matthew 7:13-29

You, whose sins vex and bother you – rejoice. That means that your conscience is not seared and is still alive. Your conscience bears witness to your better knowledge that your sins against God and your fellow man are grievous. A conscience of vitality will not be content to ignore a sinful life and particular [sinful] lifestyle, but will gravitate to find mercy and forgiveness. Only in the Christ of history, whose birth, life, suffering, death and resurrection, spelled, eternal victory, will you discover present, complete relief and a life hereafter, relief, from your sins.

If your sins don’t bother you, you are most certainly in the worst of condition. You are like a blind, deaf and dumb man standing on a railroad track, as the train approaches. Only the gracious disposition and sovereign will of God can make you aware of your hopeless condition so that you can become like that publican [tax collector] and cry out to the Triune God: “God, be merciful to me a sinner!” [Luke 18:9-14]

May the Triune God be gracious to work that faith in you to come to an end of yourself. May you be granted the faith to believe in Christ as your Savior from your damning sins. Then, you will have genuine peace and can be assured of life, everlasting, rather than the death everlasting, opposite. Amen.

The Divine Perspective – The Godly Righteous or the Ungodly Wicked

One of the most misunderstood Scriptures is Christ’s words about “Judging.” [Matthew 7:1] If there is one Scripture which unbelievers will know – it is this one. Both non-Christians and Christians, alike, are often of the opinion that a person should never be outspoken and critical of others. When confronted with their sinful lifestyles, non-Christians (and Christians) will utter their misinterpretation of Christ’s words as a rationalizing defense mechanism. Their mistake is that they fail to understand the very first verse of Matthew 7:1 in light of the entire chapter. Matthew 7:1f

Christ was teaching about hypocritically “judging” others. For instance, a person should not criticize his neighbor for his neighbor dog's nuisance barking, when he himself is not careful to control his own dog from disturbing the neighborhood’s peace and quiet.

When looking at any Scripture, it is important to allow Scripture to interpret itself and to understand particular Scriptures within their framed context. Christ cautioned about (hypocritical) judging, and then also warned his disciples that they could recognize false prophets by their “fruits.” [Matthew 7:13-20] In essence, Christ called upon His disciples to be “fruit inspectors,” – to judge others by their very words and lifestyles.

When Cal Thomas, a syndicated Christian columnist wrote a commentary of Barack Obama, basically calling him a non-Christian [false prophet], Mr. Thomas was not judging in the negative hypocritical sense. Cal Thomas supported his [seeming] “judgmental” assertions with the USA president’s own words, in light of Scripture's own words.

"Obama Is No Joshua" -- by Cal Thomas -- .....Obama can call himself anything he likes, but there is a clear requirement for one to qualify as a Christian and Obama doesn’t meet that requirement. One cannot deny central tenets of the Christian faith, including the deity and uniqueness of Christ as the sole mediator between God and Man and be a Christian. Such people do have a label applied to them in Scripture. They are called “false prophets.” -- calthomas.com

The Politically Correct Culture of today frowns on calling out [criticizing] certain [peoples'] belief and lifestyle distinctions:

Political correctness would bring reproach upon any individual like Cal Thomas for being so outspoken. After all, Mr. Obama is now the USA president and he is, [according to the politically correct crowd] to be held in such high esteem that he should not be subject to such a critical analysis. However, the Scripture says that Mr. Obama like everyone else will stand before the judgment seat of Christ. 2 Corinthians 5:10

The Divine perspective:

Hear or read the first 10 Chapters of Psalms, and if you listen closely enough, you will hear the distinct words: "righteous, ungodly, wicked, blood thirsty, deceitful, godly, workers of iniquity, wickedness and heathen." In God’s eyes there is no political correctness to be had. You are either righteous, or, you are wicked. You are either godly or ungodly. There are no grays with God. You are either one of His sheep or one of the goats. Psalm 1:1-6 ; Matthew 25:31-46

Christ’s Parable of the man who had no wedding garment:

To be sure, Christians are not perfect, by any means. Those who believe in Christ and make it their soul’s desire to please him by lip confession and life’s profession, [Matthew 7:13-29] remain sinners while they traverse this earth. But the difference between a genuine believer and a non believer is the soul’s “covering.” Christ’s Parable of the Wedding Feast and the man who had no wedding garment, underscores this eternal and priceless distinction. Matthew 22:1-14

Friend, if you aren’t clothed with the righteous, sin [blood] covering forgiving garments [clothes] of Christ, you will be faced at the end of your life, attempting to “go it alone.” To be sure, you will be entering eternity on your own – and, to do that will be, what the Scriptures describe, eternal damnation. [Mark 16:16 ; 2 Thessalonians 2:12 ; Matthew 24:11-13]

Your life with all of your sins against God’s Ten Commandments – both against God and your fellowman, will follow you, uncovered, [by Christ's all encompassing forgiveness] and will haunt you forever and ever. There will be no rest for your "living" soul but only utter loneliness and suffering, because you will have rejected your Creator Savior. John 3:14-21 ; Luke 16:19-31

It is never too late, baring the cessation of human breath, to seek the Lord and His Righteousness. [Philippians 3:7-9] Better to be forgiven and to enter death’s door with the righteous [forgiveness] clothing of Christ, than to enter eternity, naked, marked and tarnished, with ones’ own [damning] sins. Amen.
