Why Divine Revelation [The Scriptures] condemn homosexuality -- Why do homosexual activists become so upset when their lifestyle is called into question?

This emeritus Christian pastor is no stranger to online forums and to providing his comments, following news reports.  A couple of weeks ago there was a news report about an (obvious) homosexual activist.  The news piece went on to highlight this man’s up and coming conference speaking engagement.

The young man of whom the news piece related, was scheduled to speak [yesterday] about the recent Kalamazoo “anti-discrimination ordinance last year” and “his spiritual journey.”  He was highlighted to be “the keynote speaker” for “Out of the Closet, Into the Light.”  The gathering, according, was designed to be a “conference on ‘sexuality, inclusion and spirituality.’” The event was “planned” by “the OutCenter, of Benton Harbor, which provides support and advocacy for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and allied persons in Berrien County.”

The news report further stated that this conference on “sexuality, inclusion and spirituality” was to be held at Brookview School in Benton Harbor, Michigan.  Conference workshops were to include:

……topics such as “What Does the Bible Really Say About Homosexuality?” “Relationships With Religious Family and Friends,” “Moving Your Church to Be Welcoming” and “Exploring Your Spiritual Path.”

"Anti-discrimination advocate Jon Hoadley to speak about spiritual journey" -

I might glibly add that we can only hope that this school is wholly private and not publicly funded by the taxpayers – else this group and this speaker would have been guilty for violating the mythical  “separation church and state” [fallacious] principle as he would be talking about “spirituality” and referencing the Bible, in a public school setting.

Homosexual activists will pick and choose certain Scriptures, to justify their homosexual lifestyle:

It is common for homosexual activists to quote and abuse a most often misused Scripture – that being, Christ’s own words of  “Judge not and you shall not be judged.” [Gospel of Matthew 7:1f] What these activists often (conveniently for their own selfish purposes) forget, and / or, ignore, is that Scripture, in order to be correctly understood, must be read (and studied) in context, in its totality and with sound hermeneutical [interpretive] principles.

People often will capriciously exploit this Matthew 7:1f Scripture against those with whom they disagree, failing to understand that the ”judging aspect” is forbidden when the person doing the judging, is being hypocritical.  If I would be living a homosexual lifestyle and then criticizing homosexual lifestyles, then, this Scripture would then apply to me.  But, I am not hypocritically judging.

If I become upset with neighbors leaving their barking dogs outside for long and extended periods of time, while I do the same thing, then I would be guilty of judging my neighbors for [also] carelessly allowing my dog to disturb the same peacefulness of the neighborhood.  But many people, who fail to understand Scripture in its proper context, are capriciously careless in slinging it around – and thoroughly miss the proper perspective of the Matthew 7:1f, “Judge not.”

Briefly, what do the Hebrew / Christian Scriptures clearly say about homosexual acts and the homosexual lifestyle:

First of all, there is the Hebrew Scripture injunction against homosexual behavior.  Genesis 18:20  ;  Genesis 19:1-29  ;  Leviticus 18: 22-30  ;  Leviticus 20:13  ;  Isaiah 3:9-11

Secondly, there is the Christian Scripture injunction against homosexual behavior – principally in the following passages:  Romans 1:18-32 ; 1 Corinthians 6:9-11 ; 1 Timothy 1:8-11 ; 2 Peter 2:6 ; Jude 1:7

The self professed divine revelation – [2 Timothy 3:14-17] makes it clear that homosexual activity is contrary to divine design.  Creator [Triune] God made the human body in such a manner that the human anus was meant, intended and designed for exit purposes only.

Please note: “Gay bowel syndrome:”  --

The Scripture makes it clear that to live a homosexual lifestyle is to deny the very Creator who designed and engineered the miracle of the human body, His special creation.  Even Muslims, who do not worship the true and Triune God, abhor the practice of homosexuality.  They also abhor the needless, wanton practice of abortion on demand.  Both practices are in direct disobedience to the Triune God’s “Cultural Mandate,” which states that the human race is to be “fruitful and multiply and replenish the earth and subdue it……” [Genesis 1:28] Divine revelation, as written in the Christian New Testament of Romans 1:18-32, clearly implies that Creator God is egregiously offended when his human creation ignores His intents and becomes stubbornly resistent and ungrateful to His designs.  That, according to the divine revelation is the beginning of perversion and finally ends with those [people] engaged, being disillusioned in their very minds. Romans 1:24-28  ;  2 Thessalonians 2:10-12

The descending (deviation) digression is, as follows:

People fail to honor God, as He intended to be honored. They become unthankful to God. Hence, they become “vain” in their thinking -- and, without understanding.  As a direct consequence, their hearts become darkened to the truth of God. They then profess to be wise; but God says that they have become fools.  These unthankful, vain, (without understanding fools) then (instead) falsely worship themselves and graven images.  Romans 1:23-25

Why do homosexual activists become so upset when their lifestyle is called into question?

The Scripture speaks of a certain “delusion” which falls upon individuals as a result of their refusal to honor God as He intended to be honored. Romans 1:18-32 ; 2 Thessalonians 2:10-12

Note: See also, the one topical message: “Why are many people hard of spiritual hearing? Why will many human souls end up experiencing eternal damnation? (3/28/10):”

It is fallen human nature to avoid, shun and eschew the truth.  Millions upon millions of people today flee from reality.  Facing the truth about one’s spiritual depravity and condition is not natural.  As the Scripture says, “.....the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they [the spiritual things of God] are spiritually discerned."  1 Corinthians 2:14

Unless the Lord breaks reality upon an unregenerate [unrepentant] person’s heart and soul, there can be no acceptance of Gospel truth.  Psalm 80:3  ; Psalm 80:7  ;  Psalm 80:19  ; Lamentations 5:21  ;  Acts 3:26  ;  Phil. 2:13  ; James 1:16-18  ; John 1:11-13  ; John 3:3-6

Please note:  Christian Faith -- How does a soul acquire it? -- What is the "New Birth," -- or, what is commonly called "Regeneration," or, the Christian "Conversion" process?

No one (naturally) likes to admit they are flagrantly wrong about their personal choices. And, when people are enjoying their sexual escapades – whatever they may be – those same people do not like to be told, that what they are doing and engaging in is, against God’s moral law. [Exodus 20:1f  ; Galatians 5:19-21  ; Heb.13:4  ;  Rev. 21:8  ;  Rev. 22:15] Human pride stands in the way of conforming to God’s commandments, believing in Christ, the Savior from one's sins and repenting of those sins.

What finally separates a homosexual – or any other sinner from Triune God, holy almighty?  What finally separates his soul from everlasting life in heaven to everlasting death, in hell?

The Christian Scriptures offer a list of lifestyle sins of which it states, will bar human souls from the “kingdom of God” (heaven). [Galatians 5:19-21] Such sins, habitually practiced by the sinner, “qualify” the soul, involved, for perdition (hell). Only by the grace and mercy of God [Ephesians 2:5-6] can a sinner be set free.  And, history illustrates in every age that sinners do, indeed, come to escape these lifestyle sins which mire and solidify the soul in unbelief and delusion.  1 Corinthians 6:9-11

In the final analysis, a person is damned to hell because of his [or, her] unbelief  John 3:14-21  ; Mark 16:15-16

Friend, if you are caught up in homosexual sin, you are “fallen far from the tree.”  The very fact that you are engaging your God-created body in such a manner, illustrates that you are leading a lifestyle that will damn your very soul. [Galatians 5:19-21] ;  1 Corinthians 6:9-11] The Scriptures make that clear, no matter how you may like to twist them to your eternal destruction. [Hell]

Whatever sin or sins claim your present life, know that you are separated from a holy God and his heaven if you have, but sinned once – whatever transgression against His Commandments. [James 2:10] And, we know from the divine revelation that there is not a “just man upon earth who does good, and sins, not.” [Eccl. 7:20  ;  Isaiah 51:6]  The Triune God cannot allow unforgiven sin in his presence.  Consequently, you must enter a hereafter heaven, totally on the merits of the grace of God, through faith, on account of the birth, life, suffering, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. [Ephesians 2:8-9  ; John 3:14-21   ; 1 Corinthians 15:1-4] He, alone, is the perfect sacrifice for all your sins against God and your fellow man.  Only because of Him, will God acquit you of all your sins – whatever and how many, they may be.  Hebrews 10:14  ; John 8:31-36

Absolutes and Christ’s often misunderstood words of “Judge not…..”

Non-Christians generally eschew the reality
of absolutes. They will make exceptions,
though, for their pseudo science theory of
which calls for umpteen millions
of years, minus Creator God, to produce all
what we observe, feel, smell and observe.
One of the many distinguishing features which separate the Christian believer from the non-Christian, unbeliever, is, in the area of “absolutes.” Those who firmly believe Christ’s words as recorded in the Gospels, and the other Scriptures of the Hebrew Old and New Testament historical, revelation writings, are often viewed with derision and contempt. Such derogatory phrases such as “Bible thumping Christians” and “Gun totting Christians” are just a couple of denigrating phrases used by some who pride themselves into not believing and ordering their lives according to absolutes.

After all, why would one desire to restrict himself, believing and ordering his [or her] life after fixed principles found in an “old” book? Why would a person desire to limit his or her beliefs and experiences and repress human expression – whatever it may be? So goes the thinking of many who think and believe that living one’s life guided by absolutes is ludicrous and fanatical.

Those who often deride others for believing and ordering their lives after absolutes, contradict their own thinking and behaviors

Believing in no absolutes is contradictory, in itself. The perception to ignore absolutes and to definitively declare that there are no absolutes makes the person promulgating that philosophy, to be a believer in that one absolute belief.

Ignoring the obvious, does not alter reality. Ignoring or attempting to change the traditional understanding and practice of marriage (between a man and a woman), does not change the institution. Ignoring God’s Commandments will not change or alter them – or, even absolve the one running from them.

People who run from the reality of absolutes, illustrate that they desire to hide from reality:

Not surprisingly, the Gospel of Matthew 7:1
is utilized by non-Christians to silence the
free speech (US First Amendment) rights
of Christians from publicly speaking out.
Non-Christian, politically motivated liberal
people like to have a "corner" on public
opinion and molest the interpretation of
Holy Scripture to further their political ends.
I often participate in my town’s online forum. Recently a particular online forum participant apparently did not agree with my comment. So, (as some do on the forum) this person chose to reprimand me by reminding me of Christ’s words about “Judging.” It is a very familiar ploy by non-thinking people, when confronted with certain realities, to ignore those realities and invoke Christ’s words, regarding, making judgment.

Matthew 7:1f

One of the most misunderstood Scriptures is Christ’s words about “judging.” [Matthew 7:1f] If there is one Scripture which unbelievers will know – it is this one. Both non-Christians and Christians, alike, are often of the opinion that a person should not be outspoken and critical of others. When confronted with their sinful lifestyles, non-Christians (and Christians) will utter their misinterpretation of Christ’s words, as a rationalizing defense mechanism. Their mistake is that they fail to understand the very first verse of Matthew 7:1f in light of the entire chapter.

Christ was teaching about hypocritically “judging” others. For instance, a person should not criticize his neighbor’s dog for nuisance barking when he himself is not careful to control his own dog from disturbing the neighborhood’s peace and quiet.

When looking at any Scripture, it is important to allow Scripture to interpret itself and to understand particular Scriptures within their framed context. Christ cautioned about (hypocritical) judging, and then also warned his disciples that they could recognize false prophets by their “fruits.” [Matthew 7:13-20] In essence, Christ called upon His disciples to be “fruit inspectors,” –- to judge others by their very words and lifestyles. Christ’s disciples, are, expected to be (ethically) discriminating – rebuking (reproving) the “deeds of darkness.” Ephesians 5:11

This con artist had many professing Christians
convinced that he was a Christian. Even enough
professing "Christians" voted a second time
to award him a 2nd term as usurper White House

occupier; it still is evident that he is not a genuine
Christian. His actions do not match his professed
words. Go check out the New Testament book
 of James 1:f.
When Cal Thomas, a syndicated Christian columnist wrote a commentary on Barack Obama, -- basically, calling him a non-Christian, Mr. Thomas was not judging in the negative hypocritical sense. Cal Thomas supported his [seeming] “judgmental” assertion with the USA president’s own words, in light of Scripture's own words:

"Obama Is No Joshua" -- by Cal Thomas -- .....Obama can call himself anything he likes, but there is a clear requirement for one to qualify as a Christian and Obama doesn’t meet that requirement. One cannot deny central tenets of the Christian faith, including the deity and uniqueness of Christ as the sole mediator between God and Man and be a Christian. Such people do have a label applied to them in Scripture. They are called “false prophets.” --

The Politically Correct Culture of today frowns on calling out [criticizing] certain peoples' belief and lifestyle distinctions:

Political correctness would bring reproach upon any individual like Cal Thomas for being so outspoken. After all, Mr. Obama is now the USA president and he is, (according to the politically correct crowd), to be held in such high esteem that he should not be subject to such critical analysis. However, my Bible says that Mr. Obama, like everyone else will stand before the judgment seat of Christ. 2 Corinthians 5:10

Christ, preached Himself to be the “Absolute”

An honest person can’t read the New Testament Gospels and not be confronted with both the unique and absolute Christ. [John 18:37] Read the whole chapter of Matthew 7:1f and you [by God’s grace] will be able to recognize the zenith “absolute.” Christ is called in the Scriptures, the “'Beginning' and the 'end;'" the "First and the 'last.'” [Revelation 22:13] He is Creator God. And in Him all things [the universe] consist. Colossians 1:16

For those of you who do not know this Christ

For those of you who do not know this Christ, you have every opportunity to come to know Him as both Savior and Lord. [Isaiah 55:6-7 ; 2 Timothy 3:14-17] Without his apportioning holy blood (as sacrifice) to cover your life’s sins, you will have no future eternal hope, but an eternal hereafter of death, everlasting. [Luke 16:19-31 ; Matthew 25:31-46] The good Lord has provided for you the righteousness of Christ to cover your damnable sins. [Matthew 22:1-14] Avail yourself of God’s mercy. Read the Scriptures and cry out to your Maker. [Luke 18:9-14] Realize that that the Holy Scriptures is the Triune God's instrument and way to bring you to faith in Him. Romans 1:16 ; Romans 10:17 ; Acts 8:26-39 ; 1 Peter 1:23 ; James 1:18 ; 2 Timothy 3:14-17.

May you come to recognize the one Absolute that is most paramount and absolutely, necessary. May God have mercy upon your humble quest.

Why are many people hard of spiritual hearing? -- Why will many human souls end up experiencing eternal damnation?

The former WWII British leader, Winston Churchill once stated that:

“A lie gets halfway around the world before the truth has a chance to get its pants on.”

And, how so sadly true. Most people are prone to believe untruths, rather than the truth. I’m sure that you’ve also heard the old adage, “Truth is stranger than fiction.” People are so apt to be suspect of the truth. So they were, in Christ’s day:

Then Jesus said to them, “A little while longer the light is with you. Walk while you have the light, lest darkness overtake you; he who walks in darkness does not know where he is going. While you have the light, believe in the light, that you may become sons of light.”

These things Jesus spoke, and departed, and was hidden from them. But although He had done so many signs before them, they did not believe in Him, that the word of Isaiah the prophet might be fulfilled, which he spoke:“Lord, who has believed our report? And to whom has the arm of the LORD been revealed?”

Therefore they could not believe, because Isaiah said again:

“He has blinded their eyes and hardened their hearts, lest they should see with their eyes, lest they should understand with their hearts and turn, so that I should heal them.”

These things Isaiah said when he saw His glory and spoke of Him. John 12:35-41

Why can’t the ungodly – the non-Christian – the unregenerate [unconverted] gravitate to that which is holy, Scriptural, Godly, and just plain, “Christian?”

Encountering “difficult” Scriptures:

Divine written revelation, through the prophet, Isaiah, asks a very similar question. [Isaiah 53:1] In fact, the New Testament Gospel of John records Christ quoting one of the most perplexing of all Scripture. It is difficult, because on the surface, it almost leads a person to believe that theTriune God directly causes or blocks people from believing the Lord and His Divine Revelation and, thus, being able to come to faith in Christ.

When the Christian believer comes across “difficult” Scriptures that are hard to understand, the temptation is to doubt the truthfulness of Holy Scripture. That same temptation, that was voiced in the Garden of Eden by Satan, is repeated over and over, throughout human history:

“Yea, hath God said…..?” [KJV] Or, in other words -- “Has God indeed said?” Genesis 3:1 – NKJV

Correctly, understanding the divine revelation – the Scriptures:

We know from the rest of Scripture – comparing Scripture with Scripture that faithfulness to God’s written revelation gift requires us to interpret correctly. Just because we come upon difficult Scriptures that are hard to understand, does not prevent us from accepting and believing their spiritual realities.

It is imperative to interpret God’s written revelation with literary standards. Please note that the following short list, are, but (only) several hermeneutical principles, with which to correctly interpret the Hebrew and Christian Scriptures:

  • Scripture, itself, claims to be God’s Word. God is the ultimate author who utilized His specific chosen people to pen what He so desired to convey upon scroll and parchment. 2 Peter 1:21 ; 2 Timothy 3:16a

  • Scripture was written by various human authors, using a variety of literary styles – and, as such, must carefully be interpreted “exegetically” in context. [Note: The Book of Psalms as compared to Proverbs] Scripture writings contain poetry, prose, history, prophecy, etc. And, they contain various literary “devices” such as hyperbole, figurative language, symbolism, etc.
  • Scripture, itself, claims to be without error, as the Triune God, by His holy nature, cannot lie. Psalm 12:6 ; Psalm 19:7 ; Psalm 119:144 ; John 17:17
  • Scripture is the primary “vehicle” (“means” of divine grace) to bring people to saving faith in Jesus Christ. Psalm 19:7 ; Psalm 119:144 ; Psalm 119:151-152 ; John 17:17 ; 2 Timothy 3:14-17 ; Romans 10:17 ; 1 Peter 1:22-23 ; James 1:21

  • Scripture does not claim to be a science or biology book. Many people and skeptics throughout history have derided the Bible because they have found what they “think,” are contradictions. However, upon the passage of time and continuing archaeological and scientific discoveries, they have been proven wrong and have been exposed for having presumed Scripture to be just like any other human book.
Christ explained why people are hard of spiritual hearing. Please again, note the Scripture at the beginning of this message - John 12:35-41

Christ explained that people ought to live and order their lives while they have, available, the “light.” He, of course, was referring to Himself, as He unabashedly proclaimed Himself to be the “Light.” [John 8:1f] John the Baptist ushered in Christ’s short, 3 year ministry, proclaiming Christ, the “Light of the world.” Various Old and New Testament Scriptures proclaim Christ as that “light” to shine upon men’s souls. Psalm 43:3 ; Psalm 119:105 ; Isaiah 9:2 ; 2 Corinthians 4:6

What Christ was saying -- [Paraphrase]

“Cop onto me while I am here. Don’t reject Me [the Light]. Believe on Me, the Light, so that you can become mine – the sons of Light. Take advantage of my presence – while you have the opportunity!”

Many souls throughout history, who have ended up, eternally damned, mistakenly thought that they could put off God and go about their lives, doing their own thing, waiting until the last possible moment, to believe God and repent, thus, making their end peace with God. But with most people, the opportunity is lost, because they willfully reject the Lord and His Gospel promptings. The Scripture empathically states:

Seek the Lord while He may be found; call upon Him while He is near…… Isaiah 55:6

He, that being often reproved hardeneth his neck, shall suddenly be destroyed, and that without remedy. Proverbs 29:1

Contrary to popular thought, death bed confessions and people “making their peace with God” at the end of their lives, are few and far between. They are as scare, as hen’s teeth.

As the Gospel of John 12:1f, Scripture says, the people didn’t “cop onto” Christ, the “Light.” They didn’t believe in Him – even though He performed miracles in their presence –- they continued in their unbelief. They ended up missing the opportunity of coming to faith in Christ, because they didn’t cop onto Christ when the the occasion and the time, presented itself. [The "Day of Grace"]

Then, Christ quotes the prophet Isaiah Scripture. The Scripture states that because people miss the prospect of coping onto the light – they instead become immune, hardened – hard of spiritual hearing. Although it may sound [in this Scripture] as if God brought this condition upon them, we know that this is not God’s character.

We must be honest and true to Scripture and its context when it tells us that it is God’s will that all people be “saved” and that they come to the “knowledge of the truth.” [1 Timothy 2:1-6] But when people have the Light of God surround them, and end up rejecting that Light, they become hardened in their hearts. And, Scripture tells us that God consequently “sends” [allows] them to be [naturally] deluded in their perverted thinking. Romans 1:18-32 ; 2 Thessalonians 2:10-12

One Scripture scholar puts it this way:

“…..The more men reject the gospel, the harder it becomes for them to receive it. When men close their eyes to the Light, God makes it more difficult for them to see the Light. God causes them to be struck with what is known as judicial blindness, that is, a blindness which is God’s judgment on them for refusing His Son.” [William MacDonald]

Friend, don’t wait to make your “peace with God:”

It is common reality that people aren’t moved to believe Christ and His Scriptures even when they can read the historical Gospel testimony. Fulfilled, detailed prophecies of the life of Christ, hundreds of years before His birth, are readily discarded. The testimony of the New Testament Church with martyred Christians makes little impression upon the skeptic soul.

Fairly recent discoveries such as the Dead Sea Scrolls, which confirm and corroborate the historical documents of the Hebrew Scriptures, are also readily deemed null and void by unbelieving souls. Even if Noah’s Ark were to be discovered, scientifically examined and certified to be that ship of the Biblical record, few people would be influenced to believe Christ and repent of their sins and turn away from their damnable lifestyles.

The fact is, people will not be motivated out of their unbelief and into acceptance of the Gospel of Christ, even if one of their loved ones came back from the dead and told them that they were fools for rejecting the Triune God and His sacrificed Son for the saving sacrifice of their priceless souls. Luke 16:19-31

I am convinced that despite all the bogus reasons for people to reject Christ and His Gospel, good news, message [John 3:14-21] – one major reason stands out among them all. It is because scores of people love to live in their sins. Rather than giving up their pet sins and turning to Christ for forgiveness of those sins, they would rather grasp those sins until their life’s final breath. John 3:18-21

What finally moves people to become spiritually serious?

Those of you, whose consciences convict you of being sinners, don’t be satisfied that you only feel sorry for those sins. Remember, Judas – he also, felt sorry. But your “sorry” must be more than remorse. You, being sorry for your sins, must be like Christ’s disciple Peter, who publicly denied Christ 3 straight times in a matter of moments. Your “sorry” must be a contrition [deep sorrow] like Peter, for your sins against God and fellowman, rather than a cheap emotional remorse.

A true contrition for sins will motivate you to “repent” – to turn away from sin and embrace the Triune God’s way. And that “way” is to “cop onto” – embrace the Christ, the “Lamb of God,” sacrificed for your sins to appease a just and angry God, who hates your sin, and who must [without Christ’s substitution for sin, for you] damn you in a forever hell, because of your sins. The Triune just God cannot allow heaven to be contaminated by your sins or mine!

Christ clearly indicated that a major reason why people are so stubborn and resist accepting Him and the Scriptures, which he so readily endorsed, supported and quoted during His Gospel ministry here on earth, was:

And He said to them, “You are from beneath; I am from above. You are of this world; I am not of this world. Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins; for if you do not believe that I am He, you will die in your sins.”[John 8:23-24]

Friend, unless you believe that Jesus Christ is, who He said He was, you will eternally die in your sins. Unless you believe that He came to be your supreme sacrifice for your human sin, and, the world’s, you will eternally die in your sins. [hell] Unless you genuinely believe that Jesus Christ came to purge you of all your sins, you will eternally die in your sins. [hell]

Simply put – in order for you to possess your “peace with God,” you desperately need to readily admit that you are a damnable sinner headed for God’s just punishment in hell for those sins. And, finally, you, in faith [that issues from God] must embrace Christ as your only Savior from your sin. May God’s Holy Spirit motivate and move you to finally come to this point in your earthly life, before it is too late.

"Evolution:" Rejected by Jesus Christ

Those who believe in the theory of evolution
have enormous imaginations. They also have
great faith in those imaginations and unproven
speculations. The historical Scripture record of
Genesis 1:26-27 relates that the Triune God
specially created man "in his own image,"
- male and female. Those who claim
otherwise, insult Creator God.
Please note that the following message is not in its original formatted (ordered) form. "Something" [or some hacker] has effected its present form. This author hopes to take the time at a future date to put the text right.

I well remember my freshman year of high school – especially the biology class teacher. He was a large framed, tall, white haired individual, who was feared by most of his students. At that time, being a freshman meant that there were no choices of particular teacher and particular classes. If you were a “college prep” student, as I, then you were saddled with the courses that you were automatically assigned.

This particular Biology class abounded with rumors and stories. One of the stories that was true was the difficult semester test that had the students stroll behind the teacher, identifying the various trees along the city streets, late in the autumn. If you happened to remember the scientific name of such and such a tree, you were then awarded more points which translated into a better lettered grade. But most of the students except the most academically endowed, were quite satisfied if they could remember the common [unscientific] name of the tree. I recall that day of the test. I was not able to identify the “Indian Bean Leaf" tree. I gazed into the sky, looking up at the tall tree, attempting to identify it by its leaves. After turning in our identification slips for that tree, and walking to the next, I asked one of my fellow students, “Hey, what was that tree anyway – I couldn’t place it.” His response, to my chagrin, was: “It was the ‘Indian Bean Leaf Tree.’ That was easy – didn’t you see all the dried up beans on the grass?”

The other major thing that I remember about my teacher and that biology class, was that he believed in “Evolution.” He believed that mankind evolved from some lower form of life. For purposes of this message, that is the definition which I intend, as I bring to you some very important Scriptures. A pastor friend pointed these Scriptures out to me one day when the subject of “Evolution” came up and we decried the fact that many people, and even, so-called “Christians” are gullibly “taken in” by this deceptive and damning belief. I say, “Deceptive” and “Damning,” because I believe, as my pastor friend believes, that if a person embraces the theory of evolution in explanation for his origin, he is thereby rejecting the Savior who died and rose from the dead to save his precious and priceless soul!

"Evolution," is not Science:

Recently I had a conversation with a woman in her mid twenties. When she heard me speak of evolution and the Scriptures, she brought up something she had been taught as a freshman in high school. Apparently, at such a young educational age, this so-called, “fact” of evolution, “stuck” with her. She said: “What about ‘Lucy?’”

“Lucy” was the nickname of a fossil skeleton found in Ethiopia. The discoverer, Donald Johanson, (curator of physical anthropology at the Cleveland Natural History Museum) received grant money from various sources, which no doubt helped him to “engineer a popular impression that they [the bones] were early humans.”

(James Perloff; “Tornado In A Junkyard – The Relentless Myth of Darwinism”).

Darwinists have always fancied the impression that “like” characteristics of chimps and gorillas are earlier forms of human ancestry. This is quite the stretch and conjecture, and has no basis in fact, or science. Quoting again, from Perloff:

“Darwinists began with an assumption then went searching for proof. The missing links are still missing. Why: For a profound reason. They were never there.”

(James Perloff; “Tornado In A Junkyard – The Relentless Myth of Darwinism”).

Basically, here is the evolutionist's “formula:” Find some skeletal fossilized remains. It doesn’t matter if they are chimpanzee, gorilla or even some human skeletal remains. Then add to these remains, million upon millions of years. Then added to the remains and the umpteen years -- throw in some dashes of “chance.” Their theory is that somehow, (by chance) some very primitive life form evolved (over millions of years) into these skeletal remains that were, what they then, arbitrarily label, “pre-historic man!” Every time I think of this “pseudo-scientific mixture” of these evolutionists, I can’t help but think that they should be awarded the Guinness Book of Record’s all-time favorite for the class of people who possess the most highly over-active imaginations!

Those who refuse to believe in the (true) Triune God
of the Scriptural revelation, are content to live in their sin
and rebellion against Him. Many of them choose to grasp
for the straw of evolution. It is (to them), a convenient way
(though mistaken way) to avoid their Creator and ignore
their sins against Him and their fellowman. The Scriptures
speak of such: ”There is a way that seems right to a man,
but its end is the way of death.”  Proverbs 16:25 [NKJV]
When a person’s heart is hardened to God and it is bursting with personal pride, there is no way that, that person will admit to the obvious:

“…..because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them. For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse…..” Romans 1:19-20

Unequivocally, evolution is not a scientific fact

Far from being scientific, the theory of evolution is more of a dogmatic belief, often held by people who have little or no use for God and His influence in their personal lives. The deception of evolution, is, that it is promoted as “Scientific,” by its proponents. They have great influence with the textbook material of biology and science books, sold to school systems, worldwide. This material, hyped [and, unfortunately, paid for by {some} unwilling taxpayers] as “Science,” is the propaganda that builds formative and permanent impressions upon elementary, junior high, high school, and college youth.

Christ's stamp of approval upon the historicity of the Scriptures:

One of these conversations in which Christ puts His "stamp of approval" on the historical record of Scripture, is recorded in the Gospel of John 5. Some of these Jews were present at the healing of the paralyzed man. According to their narrow, strict and sick understanding of the Laws of Moses, Christ violated the Law, by healing the man on the Jewish day of rest. It is, in this recorded chapter, that Christ rebukes these fellow Jews, and makes full opportunity to bear witness to His authority to do what he had just done! John 5:46-47 are the remainder recorded verses of this conversation with Christ, answering his rabid critics, before he travels across the Sea of Galilee. Christ upbraids His critics with these following words:

“For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me for he wrote of me. But if ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believe my words?” John 5:45-47

Now how does all this [the above] relate to the two focus Scriptures of Romans 5:12 and 1 Corinthians 15:21-22? Please be patient and I will explain. These [following] 2 Scriptures help to explain why Jesus Christ would never subscribe to the evolutionary theory:

“Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned. “ Romans 5:12 ; KJV

Jesus Christ inextricably links Himself with the person of “Adam,” and the Old Testament Hebrew Scriptures. The New Testament Scriptures, (continually) are testimony to this recorded reality. There are many examples. Christ quotes many Old Testament Hebrew Scriptures. Christ points to the Old Testament Jewish history in his sayings and in his pointed conversations with the hypocritical religious leaders of his day. John 3:14 ; John 7:19 ; Matthew 5:17-19

“For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me for he wrote of me. But if ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believe my words?” John 5:45-47

By saying what He said, Christ places Himself in full acceptance of those first 5 books of the Old Testament Hebrew Scriptures. And guess what? That first book of “The Pentateuch” is the book of “Genesis.” And it is in Genesis, that the Scriptures tell us of God’s creation; His creation of the universe; of the world and His special creation of man.  Is there any reason that Christ wouldn’t fully subscribe to the first five books of the Old Testament when He inextricably connected their value and the importance of His Words, with that of the Holy Spirit’s recorded words [2 Peter 1:19-21] of Scripture, penned by Moses? Of course, not. Jesus fully endorsed the Scriptures. Those Scriptures analogize the six days of creation, and God resting on the seventh -- with the six days of work and then, man, resting on the seventh day, the Sabbath! “For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was refreshed.” [Exodus 31:17 and, its context] The Scripture says that on the sixth day of creation God, Himself, created Adam.

Back to the two verses from Romans and 1st Corinthians:

Now, please follow me with this train of thought. Go look up the New Testament Scriptures of Romans 5:12 and I Corinthians 15:21-22. According to the theory of evolution, (excluding the variation of the ridiculous “theistic” approach), God is a “non-player.” Some “time” ago – millions upon millions of years ago, all that we see, feel and experience as reality, somehow came into existence (by chance). Different theories explain (or attempt) to explain our “natural world and space,” -– that world with land, lakes, wind, sun, moon and all the “matter” that is composed of “atoms” and “sub-atomic” material.

And, wouldn't you know -- the evolutionists have an explanation for the existence of the “human.” One popular theory is that the highly evolved human form initiated from the “primeval slime.” Somehow, this one-celled prehistoric form of life took on more complexity, and over millions of years, finally evolved into our present human form. Incidentally, some of these evolutionists and like-minded individuals will accept “life” on other planets if they can find “evidence” of 1 single molecule. But then, (hypocritically), these same people will join forces with pro-choice [pro-death] people who deny that life begins with human conception – the combination of that 1 single cell of egg and sperm! People who subscribe to evolution – that being, that our present existence evolved from some “lower” life form of life, do so, I believe, because they instinctively refuse to give their Creator God, the credit for their existence! The reason for their staunch refusal and denial to give God the credit for their very existence is found in the book of Romans 1:1f.  We are told that:

“.....when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.” Romans 1:21

Who were the first created humans to die? They were Adam and Eve. Do you understand that there can be no “pre-historic” people then [before Adam and Eve] – at least not in the sense that the evolutionists would have us believe? Adam was the first human created by God. Adam was the first man to sin, which automatically brought death into our world. I don’t understand where the evolutionists come up with their millions and millions of years here! I can only suppose that their theory of human origin is so far “stretched” that they then have to add to this “mix” oodles of time, plus the element of “chance.”

Pic of the Burlingame Canyon near Walla Walla, Washington [USA].  This
canyon took 6 days to form. Yet, evolutionists foment the [unproven]
theory that the Grand Canyon took millions of years to form. Essentially
diss the Biblical historical record of the Great ["Noah's"] Flood. [Genesis
6]. See additional informational link below.
The evolutionist's old earth presupposition:

Since I have done some debunking of the evolutionists’ assumption of early human ancestry, I desire to state something about about their assumption of an “old earth.” Regularly, in the media, there is without fail, some evolutionist or, so-called “scientist” claiming that the earth is millions upon millions of years old. They will point as "proof" to this [supposed] "fact," that radioactive and carbon 14 dating methods have established this as “common knowledge.”

What is more, evolutionists will discount the permanent geological effects on and in the earth’s surface that a world-wide deluge (Noah’s Flood) no doubt, would have had. Radioactive and carbon 14 dating is far from being an exact science. Evolutionists will interpret data, based on today’s atmospheric and geological conditions and assume that levels of radioactivity and carbon have always remained at the same or similar fixed and decreasing rate levels.

James F. Coppedge, author of the aforementioned book, states in the one section: “Evidence Accumulating for a Young Earth:”

“A universal flood would also doubtless have affected rates and conditions of some or all of the methods of dating the past.”

Again, there is no reliable way to fix an estimable age of the earth by these various methods. More reliable would be through written historical records. Coppedge further says, when referring to the “circular reasoning” of certain geologists:

"In simple terms, the age of the rock strata is determined by what kinds of fossils they contain. And how is the age of a fossil determined? By the rock stratum in which it is found! Many believe God originally would have created things in operating condition…..."

I recall a story my father told in my church catechism class. It was about these geologists who were digging down into the rock stratum. They were convinced that in the particular level of strata that they were digging from, was millions of years old. All of a sudden, one of the geologists hit something with his shovel. After abandoning the shovel, he carefully dug around the object with his fine hand tools. After an hour of meticulous digging and dusting with his archaeological brushes, the geologist was chagrined to find, not an artifact or a fossil, but a Schlitz beer can!

Now, to that 1st Corinthians Scripture. If there was no Adam, as evolutionists will have everyone believe, then, there is no Christ! It cannot be both ways! You cannot [honestly and intellectually] believe in yourself evolving from some lower primeval slime form, and then embrace Christ as your Savior from sin. You cannot discredit the existence of Adam and then admit that you are a sinner in need of the Savior Christ! The two (aforementioned) Scriptures make it clear that Adam was an actual and genuine person who lived in history – the very beginning of history! Adam and Eve, the first humans, sinned. And then, as a result, death followed as the destiny for every living being. Romans 5:12

I suppose the class that I remember most, in high school, was that Biology class; not so much for the reasons that I mentioned at the beginning of this message, but for the following reason. I remember the conversation my father, who was a Christian pastor, had with my biology teacher. The conversation took place at one of Bay City’s funeral homes. Dad and I went to visit my biology teacher, whose wife had passed away.

Evolution has no power to deliver a person from the shackles of personal sin and anguish. Evolution has no power to resurrect a lifeless body. Evolution has no future. All evolution has, by the person who tenaciously holds to it, is, a hopeless, disillusioned and damning future. When an individual places his or her trust in a human theory that replaces the Creative, Almighty, Holy and Saving Triune God, then there is nothing to turn to when the “sky falls in” and when the personal woes of life come rushing in like a flood! When a person rejects Christ, the Author of Life, [Colossians 1:16-17] and embraces the lifeless and fallacious theory of evolution, there is no cleansing of personal sin – and hence, no future in Heaven’s Glory, which, is, and must be free from all imperfection. There is no life everlasting, but only death, everlasting. Luke 16:19-31 ; Matthew 25:31-46

Thank God that Christ is the solution for the sin problem -- that sin problem that loads a person down with guilt and divine condemnation. Only through the the sacrificial merits of Christ, and the Grace of God can an individual come to experience the Triune God’s best, and heaven , "to boot!" If Christ could subscribe to the first 5 books of the Hebrew Scriptures -- that’s good enough for me. And, by God's Grace, it will be good enough for you. John 3:27 ; Ephesians 2:1-10 ; John 1:13

Unregenerate friend: I hope and pray that you will understand the futility of putting your faith in an unproven theory for your existence and that of the world, in which you live. It is my prayer that you will expose yourself to the divine revelation as it is found in the Holy Scriptures; and, by that reading, listening and thoughtful exposure, be convinced of your sins against God and your fellow human beings.

The historical record of the Old Testament Hebrew Scriptures are anathema to evolutionists because the created physical existence of Adam and Eve was but a day after the Creator created fish and fowl and the very same day that the Lord created the [land] animal kingdom. To suggest that all of the universe, sea creatures, land animals and man were all created within 6 successive [normal, 24 hour] days of each other, not only limits and negates the evolutionists' speculative dogma game of millions upon millions of years, but also insults their imaginative "intelligence."

Sorry to say, these evolutionists are highly influential, persuading people world-wide, of their far-fetched theories. They will deride Christians who have faith in God and His historical [written, documented] Word, the Holy Scriptures. At the same time they will bristle with contempt at those people who call into question their “pseudo-scientific” practices and beliefs, who challenge them with true scientific methodology and practice. The sad fact remains, that these evolutionists are successful to a large extent. They pawn off their highly imaginative beliefs that they accept as personal religious dogma. They are “masters of deceit” in having people believe that their theories are true science – when in fact, they are continually masquerading science. Behind the “mask” of evolution, they cling to their flawed and unproven theories.

What is common knowledge to the Darwinists and evolutionists about a very old earth, doesn't bode well with other theoretical considerations for charting the earth’s age. [These are calculation losses of the helium content of the atmosphere and the uranium content of the oceans -– “Evolution: Possible or Impossible? Molecular Biology and the Laws of Chance in Nontechnical Language, James F. Coppedge, Ph.D.]

Evolutionists will believe anything, because they refuse to believe their Creator God.

[Genesis 1:1f ; John 1:10 ; Colossians 1:16-17] And, good and well-meaning people have been sucked into their preposterous and whimsical estimations. Somehow “Christians” think that they can adopt an “evolutionistic approach” to their existence! And, with that, they are being most unreasonably and intellectually dishonest. Not only are they being dishonest and intellectually bankrupt, these same “so-called” professing Christians do not believe the very Scriptures that form the very basis for their Christian beliefs!

If no Adam -- then, no Christ:

Evolution has no answer to the “death problem!” God does! God shares the answer in the Holy Scriptures. The 1st Corinthians Scripture makes it plain that because of Christ, there will be a resurrection from death. That whole chapter of 1 Corinthians 15:1f is a conglomeration of Scriptures testifying to the reality of life after death! That is that same “life after death,” that my former biology, evolutionist teacher did not understand. He couldn’t, because he thought that he had a far more superior reason for his existence! And for that he remained a fool. Romans 1:21-22

Belief and Acceptance of Evolution brings futility:

My father with me by his side introduced himself to my teacher and extended his sympathies. My father mentioned in the course of the short conversation to my evolutionist teacher, that the Christian has a firm and sure hope – that even after a loved one has died, there would certainly be a resurrection of the body. In that we can find comfort, because of Christ who rose from the dead. He “paved the way.” In Him and only through Him do we find, hope and comfort -- and a positive future.

What was my father to say? All Dad could say was the hope and comfort Christians can have, because Christ “paved the way,” – first, with His holy life and then with His suffering and death sacrifice for humanity’s sin – for each, and, every individual. [John 3:14-21 ; John 3:36] It was, sorry to say, a message that did not resonate with my biology teacher. He was devastated at the loss of his wife. He had no hope. He had no comfort. He had rested his beliefs upon a “theory” that sounded good; a theory that he thought could be “explained” in human and physical terms – so he thought, and so thinks many who believe in evolution.

“Evolution” has no Savior!

If Jesus Christ, who is, the Author of Scripture, can say: “Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world…” and “For in Adam all die….” -- then that’s good enough for me. I would rather place my trust in the God who made future provision for my soul rather than trust in an unproven and unscientific evolutionary philosophy which would entice my sinful pride to accept that I exist because of pure happenstance. Thank God that He makes it so clear: “It is He that hath made us, and not, we ourselves.” Psalm 100:3
Not only do I pray that you will see yourself as a helpless sinner headed for eternal destruction because of your sins; but, I pray that would receive your Creator Savior by faith. Genuine and demonstrable faith can only be granted through God's appointed means - the Word of God. Don't neglect that divine revelation. For without that Scripture which would grab a hold of your being; God's Holy Spirit cannot illumine your heart to believe in Him. Romans 1:16; Romans 10:17 ; Acts 8:26-39 ; 1 Peter 1:23

How Long Does It Take for a Canyon to Form? – by John D. Morris, Ph.D.
>>>>>>> ……. Visitors to Grand Canyon as well as eighth grade earth science students have been traditionally taught that the Colorado River, migrating back and forth for 65 million years, coupled with side canyon erosion, has carved out this immense gorge. In recent years, scientists have disproved that idea, leaning now on a great volume of water rushing through the area at a high velocity not very long ago which carved the canyon. (Unfortunately, school students are still being taught the older, long-age model.)

Let me introduce you to Burlingame Canyon near Walla Walla, Washington. It measures 1500 feet long, up to 120 feet deep, and 120 feet wide, winding through a hillside. A small-scale analogy to Grand Canyon it was observed to form in less than six days……. <<<<<<<<<<
